PRESS RELEASE | Arenal and Vandelanotte join forces to strengthen mutual growth

by Nikolas Vandelanotte

Looking for a fun team building? During the Business Cup by Vandelanotte, up to 280 companies will compete for the ultimate victory in a two-day padel tournament. The tournament is part of a new structural collaboration between padel company Arenal and accountancy firm Vandelanotte. Through this collaboration, both companies aim to further strengthen their brand awareness and local presence in Flanders.

Arenal, founded by former professional footballer Tom De Sutter and his childhood friend Mattias Van Holm, merged with Marc Coucke's Padelworld in 2022. Since then, the ambition has been to further expand the number of sports clubs. Vandelanotte is a firm of accountants and auditors based in Kortrijk. They provide their clients with accounting, legal, social and tax advice.

"Our aim is to become a major player, first in Belgium and then abroad. This is only possible by working with companies like Vandelanotte. Their support is very important for a scale-up like Arenal. It allows us to continue to professionalise and grow," says Tom De Sutter, Development Manager at Arenal. In return, Vandelanotte can count on a lot of publicity in Arenal's clubs. For example, each club will have a padel court with Vandelanotte's name and branding.

In addition to growth, the fun of sports is also central. "Playing sports together improves physical and mental well-being and strengthens the team spirit among colleagues. That is why we are so excited about this new collaboration with Arenal," says Nikolas Vandelanotte, CEO of Vandelanotte. To encourage as many companies as possible to put their good intentions into practice, Arenal and Vandelanotte are organising the 'Business Cup by Vandelanotte'. This is a two-day padel tournament for companies in nine Arenal clubs in Flanders. From the end of February to the middle of March, up to 280 companies from three different regions will compete for the ultimate victory.

Participants can register for two open series, Professional and Executive, based on their padel level. The strongest teams will qualify for the regional finals in March. Each of these will also be linked to a networking event with talks by Mathieu Renier (CEO Sparkx Hasselt), Olivier Verhaege (ultra runner and author) and Tim Borguet (CMO RSC Anderlecht). Registration for the tournament is still open until 9 February 2024 via the website www.arenal.be/vandelanotte.

Every Vandelanotte colleague will be able to reserve a court at the Arenal club of their choice, at our expense. A good work-life balance, with a focus on relaxation and exercise, is something we encourage 100%. Nikolas Vandelanotte , CEO Vandelanotte

Employer branding campaign

"The partnership with Arenal allows us to put our services in the spotlight, but we don't forget about our employees. We have been focusing on employer branding for some time now. In 2022, we launched our €5,000 campaign, in which new colleagues who resigned within three months received a substantial severance payment. This time we are stunting with free padel games. In fact, every Vandelanotte colleague will be able to reserve a court at the Arenal club of their choice, at our expense. A good work-life balance, with a focus on relaxation and exercise, is something we encourage 100%," concludes Nikolas Vandelanotte.
