Accountancy and auditing firm Vandelanotte delivered no less than 80 kilograms of Easter chocolate to the children of the non-profit organisations O2 Wervik and Onze Kinderen Roeselare, and to the healthcare providers of the Jan Yperman Hospital on Wednesday 8 April. The office wants to give them an extra boost in this way.
Every year around Easter, employees are treated to Easter eggs as a thank you for their efforts. This year was no different. Due to the coronavirus crisis, however, the Easter chocolate could not be distributed in the various branches. The management therefore chose to deliver the chocolate to the non-profit associations O2 in Wervik and Onze Kinderen in Roeselare, two associations that take care of children in a difficult life situation. A second load of Easter eggs was delivered to the healthcare providers at the Jan Yperman Hospital in Ypres. “It seemed like a good moment to give the children and healthcare providers a little boost”, explains Nikolas Vandelanotte.
The staff members all received a personal postcard in the box. “The initiative was also a surprise for them”, continues Nikolas. “We really wanted to thank them for their enormous commitment and flexibility in these difficult times, so we chose to thank them personally with a postcard.” The nearly 400 employees have been working from home for about a month now to continue to guarantee service to their customers. The action by the management was also a pleasant surprise for them.
